What Are You Offering?

Something that appeals to the self-interest of your target market

Most companies are offering services they deem to be valuable to the consumer. Thinking in terms of your own target audience, what you are offering is ideally suited to their needs and desires, right? This includes the products or services you are offering, the location, the price, and the service. So, how do you stand out from the competition?

What is it that you can offer your customers, or would be customers, that will appeal to their interests? Whatever it is, you need to make an offer. This is what readers will most likely make their decision on. If you offer great medical care, or great customer service, then that can be your offer. But, even so, it needs to be stated as an offer.

Too many ads don’t clearly define the offer, so consumers are not sure, and that confusion has its cost.

Most of the time an offer is something unique or special that encourages the consumer to take action. For example, a Free Consultation, or a Free something. Thinking further into it, what about “We offer you the finest…”? Or, “we offer the most durable…” There are so many products and services being offered that consumers have to know what it is in order to make a decision.

So, think of appealing to the customer, and think of what you can offer them. It may seem mundane or obvious to you, but to the consumer it is probably not.

  • Offering the best way to get ahead in life for a reasonable price
  • We offer 10 ways for you to feel sexier
  • Offering a chance to make more money
  • Offering you the comfort of knowing

See how distinct these sound? Making your offer in as few words as possible in a way that appeals to the needs and desires of your customer is very important. All these are clear offers of something the consumer wants, and has a desire for. Stating them clearly can make all the difference to the success of your campaign.
